On behalf of the research team, I’d like to welcome you to this site designed to inform you of our work and to let you comment on that work. The general purpose of our research is to examine the economic issues facing pollinators in North America. Surprisingly to us, bees are not the textbook case of a positive externality. Instead, there is a honey component to the sector, dominated by smaller producers, and a pollinator sector, dominated by larger farms, that move their colonies to locations depending upon the demand. There are a number of interesting economic questions facing the sector and we hope to provide some insights to just a few of them with our work.
